In keeping with our commitment to this mission, the Beloved Community Center is proud to participate for the second time in the National Day of Racial Healing, an annual observance inspired by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF). This day, which occurs the Tuesday following Martin Luther King Jr. Day provides a time for contemplation on our shared values and an opportunity to inspire collective action toward healing from the effects of racism. As the WKKF shares, “The National Day of Racial Healing is a time to reflect and create a blueprint for #HowWeHeal, uniting all people to build common ground for a more just and equitable world.”

Organizing Meeting – Tuesday, Jan 7, 6PM / 417 Arlington St
Understanding that racial justice cannot exist without racial healing, we invite you to discuss what a “Day of Racial Healing” could look like here in Greensboro.

The meeting to discuss and begin planning the Day of Racial Healing (NDORH) will be held at the Beloved Community Center, 417 Arlington St., on Tuesday, January 7th, at 6 PM. We hope to see you there and encourage you to invite others to join the conversation.
